Fluting
Concentric ribbing turned into a travertine bowl
SP255 is a round travertine basin, 17.7 in across and 5.1 in tall. The outer wall is fluted with grooves that run around the body.
Grooves turned, evenly spaced
The ribs are cut on a turning axis, so spacing stays even the whole way round. Nothing is applied to the surface.
Raking light reads the profile
Fluting creates alternating highlight and shadow. Under a wall light the greige ground at #C6B393 gains depth.
Buyers usually show it beside a plain bowl from our stone vessel basin program to make the texture read.
Fit & Clearance
450 mm squat body on a 130 mm rim height
A squat, fluted body sits low and wide. Set the tap so the fluting is not hidden.
Position the basin so the fluted wall is lit from one side. Flat overhead light flattens the grooves and the detail is lost.
Specify a cleaning routine that reaches into the grooves. A ribbed wall holds more dust than a smooth one.
Groove depth and pitch are fixed by the approved production drawing.
Construction & Finish
Travertine fluted after the bowl is formed
The SP255 specification names beige travertine with a polished finish.
Grooves cut, not pressed
Each groove is machined into the block after the bowl is hollowed. Depth is constant across the run within the drawing tolerance.
Travertine banding crosses the ribs, so the stone pattern and the machined pattern read against each other. That is the point of the model and it varies piece to piece.
A honed face gives a softer read on the ribs and can be quoted on request.
Compliance
Machined tolerance agreed before cutting
Machined detail is inspected against the approved drawing rather than against a photograph.
No certification is recorded on the SP255 specification, and none is stated here. Documents are built to the market you name when the RFQ is raised.
Groove depth and pitch are machined dimensions, so they carry a tolerance. Agree that tolerance on the drawing and it becomes the standard for inspection at both ends.
Procurement
Buying the fluted SP255 basin at trade
Published terms for the fluted model.
Rib pitch and groove depth are set by tooling, so an exclusive rib pattern is practical at volume. Tooling is arranged on the SANIKB OEM and ODM program.
Machined models hold their appearance better across repeat runs than hand-worked ones, which suits a catalogue line you intend to keep.
Include these details with the RFQ
- Model SP255 and quantity
- Groove depth and pitch required
- Destination port and Incoterm
- Repeat programme or one-off order
- Own-brand carton artwork
- Sample approval before machining
Rib tooling changes are quoted once and carried across later runs.
How we work
From enquiry to shipment
A factory-direct process built for importers, distributors and project buyers. No trading layer in between.
-
01
Send the enquiry
Tell us the model, quantity, destination market and any branding or packaging requirement. A spec sheet or drawing helps but is not required to start.
-
02
Our sales team contacts you
A named account manager follows up by email or WhatsApp, confirms the specification and clarifies anything missing before pricing.
-
03
Quotation
You receive a written quotation with unit price, MOQ, packing details, lead time and the trade term you asked for. Entry, mid and premium build levels can be quoted side by side.
-
04
Sample approval
We send a sample for finish, function and packaging sign-off. Branded samples are produced once artwork is confirmed.
-
05
Production and shipment
Mass production starts after sample approval and deposit. QC and inspection run before loading, then the order ships to the agreed port.
OEM and ODM to your specification
We develop to a brief. Send a reference model, a drawing or simply the price band and market you are targeting, and we will propose what fits. Entry, mid and premium builds are all available from the same factory.
