Drop In Tubs: White Acrylic Soaking Models and a Two-Person Whirlpool

SANIKB drop in tubs are white acrylic tubs designed to be set into a platform, with the rim resting on the finished deck. The 14 models, all manufactured by SANIKB, include 13 non-jetted drop in soaking tubs in oval, rectangular, rounded-rectangle and round shapes, 1400–1800 mm (55–71 in) long, and the B8022 two-person drop in whirlpool tub.

The 13 non-jetted models take a faucet on the wall, floor or platform deck rather than on the tub; pair them with roman tub faucets or floor-mounted tub fillers. Every drop in bathtub here is cUPC certified. Other installation types are in our full bathtub range.

    Which drop in tub sizes do you make?

    In inches, the 12 oval, rounded-rectangle and rectangular non-jetted models are 58 to 71 in long and 19 to 20 in high. Ten of them are made at 59 in (1500 mm) and 67 in (1700 mm); the other lengths are 58, 61, 63, 65, 70 and 71 in. The round D-8028Q is 55 in across, and the B8022 whirlpool is 75 × 55 × 29 in.

    Which drop in tubs are listed as oval and which as rectangular?

    The Shape filter puts the stadium-shaped D-8012Q and D-8022Q under Oval with D-8015Q and D-8062Q. Rectangular covers D-8013Q, D-8016Q, D-8017Q, D-8021Q, D-8026Q, D-8051Q and D-8061Q, including D-8017Q with its straight long sides and outward-bowed short ends, plus the B8022. Rounded Rectangle and Round each hold one model: D-8020Q and D-8028Q.

    What should be decided before the platform is tiled?

    Decide the tub model and size first, since the platform is built around it, and choose the faucet. For the 13 non-jetted models, the options are a wall-mounted faucet, a floor-standing tub filler or a deck faucet set on the platform; run the supply lines and set the valve before the deck is finished. The B8022 differs: it comes with its own 5-piece faucet set on the tub rim, confirmed on the quote, and the platform also needs service access for the whirlpool equipment.

    Which drop in acrylic tub is the narrowest?

    The D-8062Q oval is the narrowest at 700 mm (28 in) wide, in both its 1500 mm (59 in) and 1700 mm (67 in) lengths. The D-8020Q rounded rectangle and the rectangular D-8021Q are 750 mm (30 in) wide in every size. The other non-jetted models, apart from the round D-8028Q, are 750 to 805 mm (30 to 32 in) wide depending on size.
