The shade decision comes first here. Dark grey is specified where a black and white marble would be too hard and a mid grey too quiet.
Reeds on a narrowing column
Reeding on a tapered shaft reads as texture rather than as ribbing. From across a room the column looks solid and the detail appears on approach.
Darker than grey, short of black

Floor contact on a tapered 430 mm column
Work to 430 x 430 x 850 mm, published as 16.9" x 16.9" x 33.5" H.
The 430 mm figure is the widest point of the piece. Where the column meets the floor is a smaller dimension, so take it from the drawing if a tile joint has to be avoided.
There is no wall support in this arrangement. Supply and waste are set out to the drawing before the floor finish goes down.
Request the floor contact dimension when tile layout has to be exact.

Grey is a family, not one shade
Several grey codes run in this collection at different depths. Order by code and stone name so the shade delivered is the shade that was selected.
Taper and reed pitch are drawing questions. Neither is stated on the listing, so take both from the factory drawing before a submittal is issued.
Never order a grey by shade description alone. Use SP1013.
Compliance
Distinguishing codes that look alike on paper
Put the code at the head of every document, starting with the spec sheet requested at RFQ. Packing lists and inspection reports then agree with it.
Several codes here share a size and differ only in stone. A submittal that carries the code and the stone name prevents the wrong one being approved.
Say where the goods land and the documents that market wants are quoted for it. This piece has no scheme against it.

The factory holds the references, so several close codes can run on one order without being confused at loading.
Where two greys are bought together, each takes its own line and its own carton mark. One container still carries both.

We send a sample for finish, function and packaging sign-off. Branded samples are produced once artwork is confirmed.

Production and shipment
Mass production starts after sample approval and deposit. QC and inspection run before loading, then the order ships to the agreed port.
