Fifty millimetres over the 400 mm code
The step from 400 mm to 450 mm changes the room. It suits a main bathroom where the basin is meant to hold the wall on its own.

Four hundred and fifty millimetres needs clear space either side. Check the door swing and any adjacent unit before this code replaces a narrower basin.
Rim height is fixed at 850 mm by the piece itself. A wall spout has to be set against that figure, not against a vanity height carried over from another room.
