The SN012 has no overflow. Water exits through the single drain opening only, with no secondary overflow channel routing it back toward the drain.

A drain built for an overflow basin has side openings that align with an overflow channel, so in a no-overflow basin those openings have nothing to seal against and can leak. Specify a free-flow drain sized to the 1.8 in (45 mm) opening, and confirm at quotation whether the drain ships with the basin.
