A 500 by 420 mm drop-in basin for an existing counter
The RSBG500 is a drop-in basin. The rim sits on the countertop and the body drops through a cut opening.
Rim rests on the counter
A drop-in sits on the counter through its rim. That is a different support arrangement from an undermount basin, which has to be carried from below.

Drop-in is the practical choice when the countertop is already in place. Vanity-top and vessel formats are listed in the solid surface basin range.
Fit & Clearance
Cutout size decides whether a drop-in works
The opening in the counter has to match the drawing, not the outside dimension of the basin.
Ask for the cutout template with the quotation and pass it to the fabricator. On a replacement job also check that the existing opening is not larger than the new rim will cover.
Verify the existing cutout before quoting a replacement basin.

Rim finished on the top face
On a drop-in the rim stays in view, so its edge profile and finish are part of the installed appearance rather than hidden under stone.
That makes the rim the first thing to inspect on a production sample. Check the finish continuity around the whole perimeter, not just at the front.
