Cleaning the Wash Nozzle
Use the toilet’s nozzle-cleaning setting to move the nozzle into the position specified in the manual. Depending on the model, this may be controlled from the remote or side panel.
Wipe the accessible surface with a soft cloth. Do not pull the nozzle farther out, press it sideways, or insert sharp tools into the spray openings.
A weak or uneven spray may be caused by buildup on the nozzle, but it can also result from:
- A reduced spray-pressure setting
- Low building water pressure
- A kinked water supply hose
- A restricted inlet filter
- A shutoff valve in the wrong operating position
Nozzle cleaning should therefore be one check, not the automatic answer to every water-flow problem.
Inlet Filter Care
The inlet filter is the user-accessible screen or filter on the incoming water path. It should not be confused with internal cartridges, pump screens, or components inside the flush-water tank.
Sediment can enter the plumbing after construction work, building maintenance, or a temporary water shutdown. A restricted filter may reduce nozzle flow or slow the internal tank refill.
Clean the filter only when the model manual confirms that it is user-serviceable. Follow the documented procedure for shutting off water and power, relieving pressure, removing the screen, and reinstalling it in the correct position.
After reassembly, restore the water supply slowly and check for leaks before reconnecting power. Do not open the internal tank, pump, or powered valve to reach a filter.
The fixture shutoff valve may also be called an angle valve. It should be placed in the operating position specified by the manual, not used as an improvised pressure regulator.
Hard Water and Mineral Buildup
Hard water contains higher levels of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Over time, these minerals can form scale inside pipes and small water passages. In a smart toilet, mineral buildup may contribute to:
- Weak or uneven nozzle spray
- Restricted filter flow
- Longer tank-refill time
- Deposits around water outlets
- Less stable wash-water temperature
These symptoms do not always indicate hard water. Before descaling, also check the shutoff valve, supply hose, filter, pressure setting, and water flow at other bathroom fixtures.
There is no universal descaling schedule. Frequency should be based on:
- Local water hardness
- Daily usage
- Visible mineral buildup
- Changes in spray or refill performance
- Filter condition
- Instructions for the exact model
Do not circulate vinegar, citric acid, or another descaler through the toilet unless the manual approves the chemical, concentration, and procedure. A method that is safe for a faucet may damage smart toilet seals, heaters, pumps, or plastic water passages.
Five First Checks When a Function Stops Working

1. Record the symptom
Note which function failed, whether the problem appeared suddenly or gradually, and whether an error code is displayed.
Also check whether:
- The remote still works
- The side controls still work
- Manual flushing is available
- Other water functions operate normally
- Other bathroom fixtures have normal water flow
A short video is often more useful to technical support than a general description such as “the toilet is broken.”
2. Check the power safely
Confirm that the plug is secure, the outlet has power, and the cord is not pinched, damaged, or unusually warm. Check whether the GFCI or circuit breaker has operated.

Do not activate the flush repeatedly when the bowl water level is rising.
4. Check the remote, settings, and sensors

A heated seat or dryer may appear faulty when the temperature is set to off or an energy-saving mode is active.
Wipe dust and water spots from occupancy, foot, lid, and auto-flush sensors. Some wash and dryer functions will not operate until the seat sensor detects a user.
5. Restart once
Use the reset or power-cycle method in the model manual. Restart the toilet once, then test one function at a time.
Repeatedly disconnecting power can hide the original symptom and will not repair a wiring, valve, pump, or control-board fault.

SANIKB Internal-Tank Maintenance Note
SANIKB smart toilets use a concealed internal flush-water tank rather than a conventional exposed rear tank.
After the shutoff valve has been closed, the building water supply has been interrupted, or the inlet filter has been serviced, the internal tank may need time to refill before a complete flush is available.
Do not open the toilet body to inspect the water level. Instead:
- Restore the water supply as instructed.
- Check the visible connections for leaks.
- Allow the documented refill cycle to finish.
- Test one flush after the cycle is complete.
Slow refilling may be related to reduced supply pressure, a restricted hose, sediment in the inlet filter, or an internal fill-valve problem.
When to Stop Troubleshooting
Stop using the smart toilet when:
- Water is leaking near the plug, outlet, electronic seat, display, or electrical housing
- The cord, plug, or insulation is damaged
- There is smoke, sparking, a burning smell, or abnormal heat
- The GFCI or circuit breaker trips repeatedly
- The housing is cracked and internal parts are exposed
- Water continues flowing after the supply valve has been closed
- The fault appears to involve a pump, heater, wiring, powered valve, or control board

- Touch wet electrical parts
- Tape over a damaged cord
- Bypass a GFCI
- Connect exposed wires
- Open a powered control enclosure

To reduce follow-up questions, provide:
- Exact model number
- Order, batch, or serial information
- Country and operating voltage
- Photo of the rating label
- Exact error code
- Photos or a short video
- Whether water and power are available
- Whether manual flush works
- Whether the remote and side controls work
- Any leak, odor, abnormal heat, unusual noise, or breaker trip
- The checks already completed
Do not dismantle the internal tank, pump, heater, valve assembly, or electronic seat to obtain photos.
