    Raked backrest, upright foot end

    The two ends of D-8065 are drawn differently. The backrest end leans outward at a steep rake and carries the rim up to 660 mm (26.0 in); the foot end is close to vertical.

    Steep outward lean at the head

    The raked end wall is the reclining surface. Because it leans out, the rim at that end projects past the base, so allow for it when the tub is set near a wall.

    Plan narrows toward the drain

    Seen from above, D-8065 is a rounded rectangle with an asymmetric outline, wider at the backrest end and narrower at the drain end.

    The waste sits close to the upright end, only 230 mm (9.1 in) in, so the floor outlet is roughed in near that end of the layout. A floor filler at the same end stays clear of the raked backrest.

    The outward rake of the backrest is formed in the same white shell as the rest of the tub. Hold the approved sample as the reference for shape and surface.

    The outward-leaning end overhangs the base and is the first point to take a knock in a carton. Ask how that end is supported and padded for transit.

    What are the dimensions of D-8065?

    Why is D-8065 described as a wedge profile?

    The rim slopes down from the backrest end, which rakes steeply outward, to a foot end that is almost vertical. The plan also narrows toward the drain end, so the tub tapers in both views.

    According to the drawing it is 230 mm (9.1 in) from the narrow foot end and 400 mm (15.7 in) from the side. Inner depth at the drain end is 470 mm (18.5 in).

    No. The base sits flat on the floor, so the floor needs to be level under the whole footprint.
