    Upright outer walls, backrests molded inside

    D-8178 keeps its outer walls vertical, and the drawing shows the outer ends vertical as well. The slipper shape is inside: both ends carry a contoured backrest.

    The inner end walls are shaped as backrests, so the bather can recline at either end while the outside keeps a straight, upright line.

    Wavy inner rim line

    The thin rim dips at the middle of each long side, giving the inner edge a wavy line seen from above. The chrome overflow sits at mid-length.

    The 1600 mm length falls between the common 1500 and 1700 mm sizes, which helps in rooms where 1700 mm is too long. Because the walls are upright, clearance measured at the floor is about the same as at the rim.

    The overflow cover is chrome against the white shell. The surface sheen of the shell is confirmed on the approval sample.

    The flat base goes straight onto the floor. With vertical walls, any gap between the tub and an uneven floor shows along the full length, so level the floor first.
