SANIKB FT049/FT050 is an elongated oval freestanding bathtub in gloss white acrylic whose walls taper steeply from a wide rim outline down to a small footprint on the floor. It is double ended and made in two sizes: FT049 at 1500 × 800 × 580 mm (59 × 31.5 × 22.8 in) and FT050 at 1700 × 800 × 580 mm (67 × 31.5 × 22.8 in). The rim is slim and has no tap holes, so the tub takes a floor-standing or wall-mounted filler. FT049/FT050 is cUPC certified.

    Steep taper from a wide rim to a small base

    FT049/FT050 is an elongated oval whose walls slope in steeply from the rim to the floor. The result is a wide outline at the top and a small footprint underneath.

    Steeply tapered sides

    The walls slope inward at a steep angle, leaving a base noticeably smaller than the rim outline in both lengths.

    Slim rim, backrest at each end

    A slim rim edges the elongated oval, and both ends are shaped as backrests. The finish is gloss white.

    Measure clearances from the rim outline rather than the base, then compare with other outlines in the freestanding bathtub range.

    The small footprint leaves more open floor around the tub, but the rim still projects to the full 800 mm width, so a floor-standing faucet must reach over that rim. Mark the faucet position and the drain together on the plan.

    The FT049/FT050 body is pure acrylic sheet with a gloss white surface from the slim rim down to the narrow base.

    Gloss white is the finish for both lengths of FT049/FT050. Approve it on the sample before the order goes into production.

    A steep taper means the rim overhangs the base on every side, so cartons need support under the rim edge as well as at the base.

    Check the rim edge on arrival, as it is the outermost point in the carton.
