Square Basin with Inward-Sloping Inner Walls
Four inclined interior faces lead from D557’s thin square rim towards a smaller square floor. This square basin with inward-sloping inner walls keeps those visible corner junctions inside a plain upright exterior. The outer sides remain straight and meet at angular corners; the single floor opening occupies the middle of the cavity. Its uninterrupted top edge has no integrated tap platform or separate overflow shown in the factory references. D557 is a white ceramic above-counter body measuring 340 × 340 × 160 mm overall. The two equal plan dimensions describe its outside footprint. The 160 mm elevation covers the complete body rather than an independently specified usable bowl depth.

Interior planes descending to a smaller floor
Four inner planes meet through visible corner junctions
The photograph shows four inward-facing inclined surfaces around a smaller square floor. Diagonal junctions join adjacent inner planes, while one central opening lies within the same uninterrupted bowl.
Straight sides on an upright box
The exterior keeps angular square corners
The complete top plan has equal outer spans and four straight principal sides. The elevation shows plain upright outside walls rather than a shell that narrows broadly towards its base.
An open edge around one cavity
A thin rim surrounds the bowl without a tap deck
No ceramic tap platform interrupts the square rim in the source photograph. The separate central floor opening is visible, while no distinct rear overflow is documented for this model.
