The SN049 is formed from vitreous china, a dense ceramic body fired at high temperature until the glaze and clay fuse into a single non-porous layer. This is what gives the glossy white finish its hard, glass-like surface that resists water absorption, odor retention and surface staining. The 24" x 16" body is engineered with a uniform wall thickness to manage thermal and mechanical stress, so it tolerates hot water and routine commercial cleaning without crazing. SN049 is a drop-in basin: the bowl drops into a countertop cutout and the rim rests on top, sealing with silicone for a fast, repeatable installation that does not require under-counter clip systems.
