Oval Countertop Basin
An oval basin at 610 by 407 mm set into the counter
SN049 is an oval ceramic basin published at 24 by 16 inches. The specification records drop-in mounting.
Long axis runs 24 inches
The bowl measures 24 inches side to side and 16 inches front to back. That footprint needs solid margin either side of the opening.
Rim covers the cut edge
A drop-in rim hides the machined edge of the opening. The joiner does not polish the inside of the cut.
This model is described as semi-recessed while the specification lists drop-in mounting. Confirm which applies before the counter is cut. Related bodies sit in the ceramic sink range.
Fit & Clearance
Cutout and overhang for a 24 inch oval opening
Three numbers govern the cut: 24 inches long, 16 inches deep, 7.3 inches tall.
The cutout is smaller than the outside dimension because the rim laps onto the counter. Work from the cutout drawing, not the catalogue size.
Allow depth beyond 16 inches so material is left front and back of the opening. Shallow tops leave too little to machine.
Request the cutout template before the top is machined.

The specification records one body material and one finish for SN049: vitreous china, glazed glossy white.
Rim and bowl carry the same glaze
On a drop-in basin the rim is the part a customer touches daily. It is also the surface the fitter seals against.
On a drop-in the counter carries most of the visible area and the basin contributes the rim and bowl. Check the rim glaze against the counter sample, since the two sit edge to edge under the same light.
Agree sealant and fixing method with the installer, as neither is in this specification.
Compliance
Where SN049 stands on marks and test reports
Sanitaryware paperwork varies by market and project type. Settling the scope inside the RFQ avoids a hold at the port or on site.
No certification mark appears in the SN049 specification. We will not list one on a submittal until it has been confirmed against this model number.
Documentation scope is agreed in writing at the quotation stage. Name the approving authority for the project and we will state, model by model, what can be supplied.

Minimum quantity and private label options for SN049
SN049 quotes from a published minimum of 20 pieces.
Ask us to price SN049 alongside the other ceramic bodies when a container is being filled, since one booking is simpler to schedule than three. Logo marking and private label packing sit under the SANIKB OEM and ODM program.
