The 20 inch body that still works as a main bowl
In a studio or one bedroom unit there is one sink and it does everything. A 20 inch stainless steel bar sink body at 18 inches front to back and 10 inches down gives that unit a primary bowl on a cabinet width the plan can actually spare.
Standard proportion, smaller body
Twenty by eighteen keeps the shape of a main sink without the width. A studio or one bedroom plan gets a usable bowl instead of a compromise.
Full ten inch depth
Ten inches, 254 mm, straight off the record. That is what lets a compact body carry the primary bowl duty in a unit.

Fit & Clearance
Rough-in for a 20 by 18 inch undermount
Twenty by eighteen on the counter and ten inches down. In millimetres the record reads 508 by 457 by 254.
In a small kitchen the cabinet under the sink also carries the waste, the trap and often a bin. Get the drain centre from the drawing before the joinery is fixed.
The counter fabricator sets the reveal on an undermount. Agree that detail in writing when the counter is ordered.
Measure the cabinet interior, not the door opening.

The material clause a unit spec copies
The material clause for a unit specification is short here: SUS304, 18 gauge, 1.2 mm, brushed stainless.
Copy the line, do not paraphrase
Unit documents get read by people who never see the sink. Move the recorded wording across unchanged so the handover pack and the shipment agree.
The listing records a handmade undermount type. Construction detail beyond that is not in the record and stays off the submittal.
Brushed stainless is published for S2018. Anything else is an OEM request, sampled before the run.

Ask at RFQ. It comes back against S2018 so the schedule and the shipment agree.
No approval scheme is recorded against this code, so none is claimed. Wait for factory documentation before it reaches a submittal.
Volume housing is usually checked at handover. Name the destination market early and the requirement is quoted with the sink.

A turnover package repeats one code many times. Repeat orders against the same code keep the cabinet detail and the carton spec unchanged.

Mass production starts after sample approval and deposit. QC and inspection run before loading, then the order ships to the agreed port.
