    With a deck-mounted faucet there is no floor riser to set out beside the tub. The supplies run up to the deck instead, so their route is planned under the tub before the floor is finished.

    The walls lean outward from a narrower base up to the deck. In plan the tub is a straight-sided rectangle.

    Because the faucet sits on the deck, the room layout needs no separate floor or wall position for it. Hot and cold supplies still have to reach the tub, so agree the hole positions and the pipe route with the plumber before the floor is closed.
