SANIKB D-8357 is a double-ended freestanding bathtub in gloss white acrylic, set on a stepped, molded plinth. The plan is a rounded rectangle with slightly bowed sides, and the ends flare outward to a slim rim. Of the 600 mm (23.6 in) height, 110 mm (4.3 in) is plinth. Two sizes are offered, D-8357-150 at 1500 × 800 × 600 mm (59 × 31.5 × 23.6 in) and D-8357-170 at 1700 × 800 × 600 mm (67 × 31.5 × 23.6 in).

    Flared ends over a stepped plinth

    D-8357 lifts the bowl on a molded plinth: of the 600 mm height, 110 mm (4.3 in) is plinth and 490 mm (19.3 in) is bowl.

    Stepped, molded base

    The plinth is molded in steps below the bowl, giving the tub a pedestal base rather than a plain bottom edge.

    02 / ENDS

    Ends that flare to the rim

    Both ends turn outward as they rise to the slim rim, and the long sides bow slightly. The outline is symmetric, with the drain in the middle.

    Two Lengths

    Two lengths over one 110 mm plinth

    The 1500 mm and 1700 mm sizes share an 800 mm (31.5 in) width and a 600 mm (23.6 in) height. The inner basin is 900 mm (35 in) long on the 1500 mm size and 1100 mm (43 in) on the 1700 mm size.

    Each side has 150 mm of shell around a 500 mm basin width. The drain is centered, so the floor waste goes under the middle of the plinth, and the overflow is on a long side.

    Take the waste position for each length from the approved drawing.

    Steps caught in the gloss

    The gloss picks out the edges of each plinth step and the flare at both ends. Check that plinth and bowl match on the approval sample.

    The flared ends and the plinth steps take the first knocks in transit. Ask for end caps in the carton, and record any chips at delivery.

    Gloss shows fine scratches, so inspect the surface under raking light when unpacking.
