Four inch centres are the figure that decides a retrofit. Measure the existing holes from centre to centre rather than measuring the visible base plate of the old tap.
The largest published figure is 222 mm and the sheet does not say which way it runs. Get it labelled on a drawing, then check it against the basin ledge so the base has a flat seat.
