SANIKB D-8386 is a white oval freestanding bathtub in acrylic, with straight upright walls wrapped in deep, widely spaced vertical flutes. The flutes run up to a thin rim with a scalloped edge. Both ends are shaped for reclining, and there are two sizes: D-8386-150 at 1500 × 750 × 580 mm (59 × 29.5 × 22.8 in) and D-8386-170 at 1700 × 800 × 580 mm (67 × 31.5 × 22.8 in).

The scalloped rim has no tap holes, so a floor-standing or wall-mounted faucet serves the tub. D-8386 is cUPC certified; finer ribbed options sit in the freestanding bathtub collection.

    Fluting

    Bold vertical flutes and a scalloped rim

    The walls of D-8386 rise straight up rather than tapering, and they are wrapped in deep vertical flutes set wide apart.

    01 / FLUTES

    Deep and widely spaced

    Each flute is set deep into the outer wall, with generous spacing between them. The effect is closer to a fluted column than to fine ribbing.

    02 / RIM

    Scalloped edge

    The flutes carry up to the rim, which is thin and finished with a scalloped edge.

    Both sizes stand 580 mm (22.8 in) high. The shorter size is also narrower, at 750 mm (29.5 in) against 800 mm (31.5 in).

    Because the walls are upright rather than tapered, the base of the tub is close to the rim outline. Allow for the full overall width when planning clearance around it.

    D-8386 is formed from pure acrylic sheet in white, with the flutes and the scalloped rim molded into the shell.

    Relief does the work

    The fluting is carried in the shape of the shell, so the tub stays in one white color and the pattern shows through shadow.

    The raised edges of the flutes and the scalloped rim take knocks first in handling. Ask how they are protected in the carton, and note any damage on the delivery receipt.

    The surface sheen is confirmed on the approval sample.

    What sizes does D-8386 come in?

    D-8386-150 is 1500 x 750 x 580 mm (59 x 29.5 x 22.8 in) and D-8386-170 is 1700 x 800 x 580 mm (67 x 31.5 x 22.8 in). The 1500 mm size is 50 mm narrower.

    What does the fluting look like?

    Deep vertical flutes are spaced widely around straight, upright walls and run up to a thin rim with a scalloped edge. The tub is white.

    Is D-8386 double-ended?

    Yes. Both ends are shaped for reclining, so the tub can be placed facing either direction.

    Which faucet mounting does it take?

    Floor or wall; the scalloped rim has no tap holes. Use a freestanding floor filler or a wall-mounted spout that reaches over the rim.
