    HANDING

    Bay handing for a 33 inch undermount kitchen sink

    With stainless steel double bowl sinks, one site error repeats: the small bay ends up on the wrong side. D3319B is a 33 inch undermount kitchen sink, one of our undermount sinks, with a 60/40 offset split, one large bay and one small bay.

    A dishwasher or disposer already fitted on one side of the base unit fixes where the small bay must go. That decision comes before the sink is chosen, not after.

    Put the required side on the RFQ and on every order line, then check the drawing before the countertop is cut. A correct sink fitted the wrong way round is still a rejected sink.

    Handing belongs in the documents as much as the model code does. On an offset sink the drawing fixes bowl sides, drain centres and the cutout, and inspection is measured against it.

    Name the destination market in the RFQ, and we quote marking and documentation against that market.

    CABINET FIT

    Matching D3319B to a standard base cabinet

    Our team sizes the 33 inch bodies to suit a 36 inch base cabinet, so the sink needs a cabinet with enough clear internal width once doors and carcass sides are deducted.

    D3319 is the 50/50 version of the same body, and D3320 runs 20 inches front to back. Each has its own cutout drawing, so matching nominal width does not make the installation drawings interchangeable.

    Why are the two bowls on D3319B different sizes?

    The 60/40 offset layout pairs a large primary bowl for soaking cookware with a smaller secondary bowl for rinsing or a disposer. Both bays fit within the same 33" × 19" × 10" body, so the cabinet check does not change. What changes is the plumbing, because the two drains no longer sit at equal spacing. Tell us which side the small bay needs when you request a quotation.

    How do stainless steel double bowl sinks like D3319B differ from the equal-split D3319?

    Outside dimensions match, but the inside plan does not. D3319B is 60/40 with uneven drain spacing, while D3319 is 50/50. Treat them as separate cutouts and separate drawings, even though both measure 33 inches wide, and name the code on every order line.

    What should I check when specifying a 33 inch undermount kitchen sink?

    Check the clear internal width of the base unit, the countertop material and its cutout, the support arrangement, waste fittings and trap routing.
