Set beside the flared-end plinth tubs in our range, FT026 is plainer in outline: a slim rim freestanding tub with straight long sides and a flat base on the floor, with clean architectural lines.

Where those models bow and step, FT026 keeps its long sides straight and closes each end on a large radius. Its one decorative line is the step in the rim profile.

Seen from above, the top edge shows two lines instead of one. That step is the main visual detail on an otherwise plain body.

As one of our double ended tubs, FT026 has two usable backrests, so it works in a room where the head end has not been decided. That also helps when one drawing is reused for rooms with different door positions.

Freestanding bathtub dimensions in inches: FT026 is 67 long, 31.5 wide and 23.2 high. The model is one size under one SKU, so the tub length is fixed at 1700 mm.

Put the floor waste on the centerline of the tub, and map the plumbing connections to it, under the center drain. Because the base is flat and the tub can stand independently of the walls, nothing else sets the height, so the finished floor level is the only datum you need.

Set the supply for a floor mounted filler or a wall filler before the floor is finished, so professional installation is not held up by open floors.

The slot overflow sits in the basin wall, not on the rim, so the stepped edge stays clean all the way round. Take the exact slot position from the drawing, and keep the floor area around the tub clear of other fixtures.

Confirm the drain offset on the drawing issued at quotation, and mark the waste on the subfloor before tiling starts.

The body of this freestanding tub and its stepped rim are formed from pure acrylic sheet in white. Check the rim edges on the sample before approval, because the step is the detail buyers see first.

Gloss level on FT026 is set on the approval sample, so delivered units follow it. Ask for rim-edge protection inside each carton.

Compare the sample rim against the drawing before releasing the run, so every later unit carries the same stepped line.

Freestanding tubs suitable for show suites work well where the stepped rim will be seen, and where the bathroom layout leaves space carefully planned around the tub.

In a hotel bathroom or show suite, or in contemporary and minimalist bathrooms, a stepped rim gives a plain rectangular tub one clear design line without changing the 1700 × 800 mm footprint.
