Shape & Layout
72 inch freestanding tub with a pebble-shaped oval body
D-8009 is drawn as a symmetric oval in plan. The outer walls bulge outward and then curve back in to meet the floor, which gives the body its pebble-like profile. Both ends are shaped alike, so the tub is double-ended.
Convex walls on a flat-to-floor body
The elevation drawing shows the outer walls bulging outward in a convex curve. The tub rests directly on the floor with no feet or plinth, and a flat rim band runs around the top edge.
Center drain, overflow on the long side
The drain is drawn 915 mm (36 in) from the end and 435 mm (17.1 in) from the side, the exact center of the tub. The overflow is placed in the middle of one long side instead of at an end.
At 1830 mm long, D-8009 calls for a generous room. Oval and stadium models in other lengths are grouped in the freestanding bathtub range.

Inner depth is drawn as 435 mm (17.1 in) and 450 mm (17.7 in) at the two measuring points. Because the walls bulge outward, set wall and vanity clearances from the 870 mm overall width on the approved drawing.
Floor waste positions vary between projects. Confirm the center drain location against the approved drawing before the floor is finished.

D-8009 is made in white. The surface finish is confirmed on the approval sample, and the production run is matched to it.
Ask how the curved shell is braced inside the carton, and agree how transit damage is recorded and reported before the first shipment leaves.
Record color and surface against the approved sample so repeat orders match.
