A lower middle in the front rim gives D172 a different upper profile from a level-edged rectangular box. This rectangular basin with dipped rim and straight deck keeps higher transitions toward the ends, also reflected in the original side-width sketch. Behind the single smooth bowl, the tap platform meets the cavity along a straight inner boundary. Its one rear tap opening remains separate from the bowl-floor drain. The plain front and side rim carries no added partition or second cavity. The factory lists white ceramic D172 for above-counter mounting at 620 × 405 × 115 mm overall. The 115 mm outside height does not specify usable bowl depth or the measured difference between the rim’s higher and lower positions.
